Travis Kelce has sent his best wishes to all the artists nominated at the MTV VMAs tonight — despite his brother’s decision to root for one star.

Speaking on the latest New Heights podcast, Travis Kelce said he hopes Taylor Swift sweeps up awards, but added a message of support for other artists. Jason Kelce, on the other hand, revealed he’s backing Taylor Swift all the way.

In a hilarious exchange, Travis told his brother: “Hopefully Taylor can walk away with a few, she’s nominated for about 10 of those things tonight. Hopefully, she can walk away with some moon men.” “Wishing everybody the best, though,” he added.

But Jason wasn’t having any of it. “Unless you’re up against Tay. Then I hope you…” he joked, as if he were about to say ‘lose.’ Jason’s response quickly went viral, as fans were left in stitches by his honesty.

“Love that Jason’s big brother energy now extends to Taylor,” one listener said. A second joked: “Jason Kelce, the taywarrior we all need.” Someone thought: “They definitely made several fake email accounts just to vote for her,” and another penned: “They’re so funny. We love supportive kings.

Other fans hoped the conversation confirmed Swift will attend the award show. Previously, fans grew concerned she could be skipping the event after behind-the-scenes footage revealed some of the seating arrangements for the evening and Swift’s name was nowhere to be seen.

The singer has the most nominations of any artist this year, leading the way with a total of 12 nominations thanks to the additional social categories announced after the first round of nominations. She’s nominated for categories including Best Pop and Artist of the Year. In 2023 she received 11 nominations and scooped up 9 prizes, bringing her career total to 23 awards. She has the second most VMAs of any artist, coming second to Beyoncé who is currently reigning with a grand total of 30 awards.
