During her performance at Groupama Stadium on Sunday, June 2, the “Tortured Poets Department” singer paused to extend her wishes for a happy Pride Month to the crowd, infusing her set with the inclusive spirit of “You Need to Calm Down,” a song she penned in 2019 as an anthem for queer empowerment. As she sang the hit, the stage was bathed in rainbow lights and decorations, while fans waved their hands in unity.
Swift’s heartfelt tribute to Pride Month continued amidst a unique backdrop—despite facing heavy rain during her performance, she remained undeterred, acknowledging the weather with humor and grace. Taking a lighthearted approach, she addressed the rain in French, remarking, “Pluie, rain,” while her band played from underneath tents on the stage’s sides, and audience members donned ponchos to brave the wet conditions.
Undeterred by the rain, Swift embraced the moment, declaring the show an official “rain show” and making it a memorable part of her Eras Tour experience.
