Prince Harry’s sudden move while meeting LA fire victims with Meghan speaks volumes
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle volunteered at a food bank in Los Angeles, which is helping those whose homes have been ravaged due to wildfires – and Harry raised eyebrows with a shock move during the outing
Mayor Mr Gordo told local media that he and Harry had offered the man a sandwich, some fruit and some water, but he told them what he really wanted was a doughnut. And Mr Gordo told the Pasadena Star-News: “Prince Harry says, ‘there’s no doughnut here, but I will find one.’ He takes off, and 10 minutes later, he returns with a doughnut.
“The gentleman looks up and says, ‘I guess I need my cards and my sugar.’ That gentleman tonight is at the Convention Center and does not know it was Prince Harry who brought him that doughnut.” Mr Gordo added that the man then told the prince: “If you ever run for anything, I’ll vote for you.”
Harry and Meghan live in Montecito, near Santa Barbara, some 90 miles from Los Angeles. It is believed the couple have donated clothing, children’s items and other essential supplies for people affected by the fires. They also invited friends and loved ones who had been forced to evacuate into their home, it is understood.
