King Charles tipped to ‘reunite with grandchildren Archie and Lilibet’ after meeting with Prince Harry
King Charles has been tipped to reunite with his grandchildren, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, following his surprise private meeting with Prince Harry on Wednesday.
The father and son, whose relationship has been strained in recent years, met for a private tea at Clarence House, marking their first in-person reunion in 19 months.
Harry, 40, last saw his father in February 2024, shortly after the king’s cancer diagnosis was publicly announced. However, it’s believed that the monarch, 76, has not seen his young grandchildren in over three years.

Prince Archie, six, and Princess Lilibet, four, reportedly last visited the UK in June 2022 for Queen Elizabeth II’s platinum jubilee celebrations. At the time, Archie was just three, and Lilibet had only recently turned one.
Now, a royal source has suggested that Wednesday’s meeting may open the door for a long-overdue reunion between King Charles and his California-based grandchildren.
But maybe there is a way of getting them over to Balmoral or Sandringham next year.
“The king wants to be a grandfather to his grandchildren. So that’s an important pull,” the insider told the Daily Mail. “He was so pleased when they came over for Queen Elizabeth’s platinum jubilee, and he was able to spend some time with them.”
According to the source, Charles and Harry’s meeting could pave the way for Archie and Lilibet to visit one of the royal estates, such as Balmoral or Sandringham, sometime next year.
But maybe there is a way of getting them over to Balmoral or Sandringham next year,” they reportedly said. “Or another royal residence where they are within the security perimeter.”
Security concerns remain a significant obstacle, as Harry has previously taken legal action over the downgrade of his UK police protection.
