Meghan Markle kicked off 2025 on a mission as she returned to Instagram for the first time in five years before launching her glitzy new Netflix cookery show.

The double announcement comes amid an ongoing relaunch dubbed ‘Meghan 3.0’ after the end of her £20million Spotify podcast deal and delayed lifestyle brand.

But the Duchess of Sussex could now use ‘With Love, Meghan’ as a platform for promoting her other projects and earning millions from spin-off merchandise.

While the show is part of the couple’s five-year £80million Netflix deal, experts say it could prove to be a lucrative opening for associated items to sell such as books.

When added to the Spotify deal, an estimated £54million from book advances and sales and £17million inheritance, it gives a total of about £170million ($210million).

And Meghan’s return to social media also hints at one of her great passions aside from acting before she met Harry – her lifestyle blog The Tig, which closed in 2017.

The Sussexes officially left the monarchy on March 31, 2020 after opting for personal and financial freedom over remaining working royal family members.

Now, MailOnline looks at what has helped to fund Harry and Meghan’s lifestyle in California – including how the extra exposure from the eight-part Netflix series could give the couple’s finances a further boost after it comes out on January 15:

Could Meghan make £10m off the back of new show?
The Duchess of Sussex yesterday gave the world a first look at her new lifestyle series ‘With Love, Meghan’ on Netflix, which comes out in less than a fortnight’s time.

Today, brand and culture expert Nick Ede said that Meghan will be able to use the show as a platform for promoting and boosting other ventures such as her lifestyle brand American Riviera Orchard along with possible spin-off merchandise.

Although the series itself is presumed to financially be within the couple’s existing Netflix deal, it will likely help generate extra income from other revenue streams.
