The California-based Duke of Sussex, who left royal life behind in 2020, is set to celebrate his birthday on Sunday. While many might view turning 40 as a reminder of time’s passing, Harry has expressed excitement about the milestone.

“I was anxious about 30, but I’m excited about 40. Whatever the age, my mission is to continue showing up and doing good in the world,” the prince said.

He added, “Becoming a father of two incredibly kind and funny kids has given me a fresh perspective on life and sharpened my focus in all my work. Being a dad is one of life’s greatest joys, and it’s only made me more driven and committed to making this world a better place.”

Harry plans to spend the day with his two children, Prince Archie, 5, and Princess Lilibet, 3, as well as his wife, Meghan Markle. Afterward, he has a holiday with friends planned to properly celebrate. However, noticeably absent from the festivities will be any members of the Royal Family, as his ongoing rift with his brother, Prince William, remains unresolved.
