Tennis Tracker: Alcaraz and Sabalenka in early action as Wimbledon 2025 gets underway

Henman Hill, strawberries and cream, all in white and grass courts – It is that time of the year again. Wimbledon 2025 is here, and it promises to be as enthralling as ever.
09:00 CET – As always at Wimbledon, there is plenty of home interest, and Britain’s women number one and two are both in day one action.

First up is a huge first-round clash as world number 43 Katie Boulter takes on world number nine Paula Badosa, before Britain’s number one Emma Raducanu takes on fellow British player Mingge Xu.

07:30 CET – Hello and welcome to Wimbledon 2025. Are you ready for two action-packed weeks of tennis at one of the sport’s most historic venues? Sunshine and showers are the guarantees at Wimbledon; everything else remains an unknown until play gets underway at around 12:00 CET.

There is so much going on during this opening day, but two of the biggest names in tennis, Aryna Sabalenka and Carlos Alcaraz, are in action early on to get this tournament off to a big-name start.

Alcaraz is first up on centre court as he takes on a tough first-round test against Italian Fabio Fognini, whilst Sabalenka is first up on court one against Carson Branstine.
