As the L.A. wildfires continue to ravage the area, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are hosting evacuated friends and loved ones in their Montecito, California, home, People confirms. The outlet noted that their house is 90 miles north of Los Angeles, and their area has not been evacuated.

Yesterday, Meghan and Harry released a statement on their personal site about the fires, none of which are fully contained yet. ‘In the last few days, wildfires in Southern California have raged through neighbourhoods and devastated families, homes, schools, medical care centers, and so much more—affecting tens of thousands from all walks of life,’ they wrote. ‘A state of emergency has been issued. They suggested those inclined to support José Andrés’s World Central Kitchen, which has been feeding victims and first responders, along with CAL FIRE and the L.A. Fire Department Foundation. They also urged those able to ‘consider donating clothing, children’s toys, and clothing, and other essentials [to] the American Red Cross, [which is] is on the ground helping those in need.
