October 9, 43 it’s Rafał Murawski’s birthday – a figure well known to football fans.
Between 2006-2012 he was called to the Polish national team. He played 48 matches in the team and scored one goal. At Euro 2012 he played in the basic squad. When it comes to clubs, from the most important ones were represented by teams such as: Arku Gdynia, Amica Wronki, Lecha Pozna Jeśli (two periods), Rubina Kaza Jeśli and Pogo niejszy Szczecin.
He is best known for his goal in the UEFA Cup qualifiers. Lech Poznan won in the rematch with Austria Vienna 4:2, and Murawski scored the decisive goal. For the first time in history, Lech has advanced to the group stage of the UEFA Cup. It took place in the 2008/09 season.
The midfielder played a total of 340 matches and scored 35 goals in Ekstraklas.
