In the end, Murray was only able to defeat Djokovic a handful of times in ATP finals, it was evident who is the better tennis player out of these two. But that doesn’t mean Djokovic won’t pay his respects.
Rafael Nadal sends bold message for Paris 2024
Here is Novak Djokovic’s beautiful message for Murray: “I heard the news about Andy and I hope that he will have the best possible farewell in his last competitive match in the Olympics, for him and his country. He is a legend of our sport and has been an incredibly important player for tennis globally. Nadal of course the same, even more all the results and achievements he has had, particularly in this city, in Roland Garros. Nadal didn’t say when his last tournament will be, so hopefully for the sake of the sport he can keep going.”
Murray beat ‘Nole’ at Wimbledon Final once
Novak Djokovic is already on Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer’s level as the three best tennis players of all time. Considering how impressive his career has been, Andy Murray can brag that he defeated one of the best tennis players in history at a Wimbledon final. It happened during the 2013 event in an unforgettable match. ‘Nole’ also praised Rafael Nadal and asked if the Spanish star’s retirement is also close. Djokovic himself reflected on his own retirement but he confirmed he still has a few tournaments left in him. In the upcoming Olympic Games, Novak Djokovic will represent Serbia.
