2024 CMA Award Nominations Full List: Beyoncé Snubbed, Morgan Wallen Leads

Country Music’s Biggest Night is just around the corner, and nominations are in!

On Monday, Sept. 6, the Country Music Association revealed the full list of nominees for the 58th Annual CMA Awards, with Morgan Wallen leading the pack with seven total nods — and Beyoncé notably absent from the ballots.

Shortly behind the “Last Night” singer are Chris Stapleton and Cody Johnson, who both earned five nominations, plus Post Malone and Lainey Wilson, who nabbed four each.

Following shortly behind with a total of three nods are several more stars: Luke Combs, Jelly Roll, Megan Moroney and Kacey Musgraves, as well as producer/songwriters Louis Bell, Charlie Handsome and Hoskins.

Up for the coveted CMA Entertainer of the Year award are Combs, Stapleton, Wallen, Wilson and Jelly Roll.

This year’s CMA Awards also sees 30 first-time nominees, including Post Malone (born Austin Post), rising star Shaboozey and “Stick Season” singer Noah Kahan, as well as both Louis Bell and Hoskins, who are credited as both producers and songwriters on Malone and Wallen’s hit collab “I Had Some Help.”

Absent from the ballot entirely, meanwhile, is Beyoncé, whose chart-topping first entry into the country genre, Cowboy Carter, had one of the year’s biggest hits, “Texas Hold ‘Em.” The record-breaking album also featured collaborations with country artists from Malone and Shaboozey to one of the genre’s pioneers, Linda Martell.

Following the March 29 release of Cowboy Carter, the album reached No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and made Beyoncé first Black woman to ever top the Hot Country Albums chart. The singer also earned top-10 hits on the Billboard Hot 100 with the record’s revised cover of Dolly Parton’s “Jolene,” as well as “II Most Wanted” featuring Miley Cyrus.
