Caitlin Clark highlights vs. Atlanta Dream
The Dream defense made Clark work for everything in the first half.
The rookie guard only had six points on five shots — all of which were 3-point attempts. She added four assists and four rebounds but turnovers continue to be an issue, coughing up six giveaways.
Her lone first-half highlight was a nice assist to NaLyssa Smith in transition.
Clark stopped playing so passive in the second half. Instead of settling for outside shots, she started attacking the paint. She poured in 20 points and eight assists over the final two quarters and overtime, getting to the free throw line eight times in the process.
Her two-woman game with Aliyah Boston on the final possession of regulation helped send the game into OT, where Indiana took care of business.
And although Clark notched another double-double of 26 points and 12 assists, it was Boston who deserves the headlines in this contest.
The 2023 No. 1 overall pick had one of her best games of the season, dominating with 30 points, 13 rebounds, five assists, one steal and one block. Kelsey Mitchell stayed hot with 21 points.
The Dream got 36 points from star guard Rhyne Howard but it wasn’t enough to overcome the Fever’s three-headed monster.
Indiana keeps on rolling after a much-needed Olympic break.
